I would like to explore how emotions are generated in humans and how to promote a sense of security. Humans perceive their environment and circumstances through their five senses. They perceive the passage of time through their eyes, understand the environment through sound, and bodily sensations allow them to sense their current situation and state, as well as detect danger. Smell evokes past memories, and taste helps predict dangerous substances. This time, I will mainly explain the mechanism by which fear arises. Stimuli perceived through the sensory organs are converted into electrical signals, transmitting information to the body. The body immediately compares this information with records stored in the body’s nerves and DNA to determine the level of danger, and emotions are generated. Simultaneously, emotional hormones are secreted and transmitted to the brain through the blood vessels.

In the brain, the information received from the nerves and the information received through the blood vessels are transmitted to the amygdala. This is where emotions are generated within the amygdala. Emotions, which are said to arise from animalistic instincts, are judged and generated instantaneously. However, for emotions to be generated through the body’s judgment and hormone secretion, and for those hormones to be transmitted through the blood, more than two seconds are required. New experiences that are critical to survival are stored in the body as important information for the organism’s continued existence. Important information obtained from experience is recorded in the body’s nerves, brain neurons, and DNA. Through this complex process, the perceived situation is judged, and emotions are generated. Humans generate emotions, and these emotions change over time, with the mind continuously changing through various processes.
