Blog006. Learn the wisdom of nature and think about safety and peace of mind.

Concrete solutions to safety include preventing dangerous situations that could harm the body and devising and implementing systems to prevent such situations from occurring. It is also important for people to live with an awareness of danger in order to maintain safety. Peace of mind is maintaining a state of peace of mind and continuing to live. We must think carefully about how to achieve peace of mind in order to ensure safety for the mind. Humans are creatures that make predictions, and when we realize that something is more worrying than we predicted, we become anxious, and if this state of anxiety continues unresolved, it becomes a disability. Threats to human peace are not limited to issues in our immediate living environment. In recent years, we have often found ourselves facing situations in which we notice major changes in the environment we live in. These include abnormally high summer temperatures, flooding due to drastic weather changes, disruptions caused by the incursion of mountain animals into urban areas due to environmental changes, and changes in food sources due to a sharp decline in marine life. All of these changes have their causes, and people know them. Global warming, in particular, is related to increases in CO2. The Earth has a long history of changing its environment, creating an environment in which living things can live.

Therefore, this time I would like to study algae, which absorb CO2 and produce oxygen from sunlight. Algae is a general term for organisms that produce oxygen through photosynthesis. While mosses, ferns, and seed plants also exist on land, producing oxygen through photosynthesis, they are not classified as algae. Many eukaryotic organisms incorporate cyanobacteria, including single-celled diatoms and king green algae, as well as multicellular marine algae. Since their creation, algae have continuously absorbed carbon and produced oxygen through photosynthesis. It is also known that dead algae settle deep on the ocean floor, where they accumulate and become petroleum as they move with the Earth’s crust. Recently, global warming has caused permafrost to melt, releasing CO2 trapped in algae into the atmosphere. To prevent this negative cycle, algae’s unique properties may be able to reduce CO2 and restore a viable environment for living organisms. Unravelling the history of how the Earth’s birth created a viable environment is important for preserving the environment in which humans live. There is great significance in studying the wisdom of nature and thinking about safety and peace of mind.
